Annual Charity Golf Classic

August 26th, 2019
Hylands Golf Club, Ottawa

All funds raised will go to supporting The Salvation Army’s
Emergency Disaster Services Program in Ottawa as well as sending children to Summer Camps.

All funds from this event will support The Salvation Army’s Emergency and Disaster Services program in Ottawa as well as sending more children in need to Salvation Army summer camps. Your support makes a great impact! When you give to The Salvation Army, you are giving to your community. The assistance we provide is unconditional and available to all and would not be possible without the support of our community and friends like you.

Thanks again to our 2018 sponsors Monat Global Canada, Country 101.1 FM, Ottawa Champions Baseball, Classic Care Pharmacy and Emond Harden Law.

We look forward to seeing you this August swinging clubs in support of The Salvation Army and helping people in need.

The effects of poverty are quite serious and deserve our attention:

  • It requires people to make painful choices between necessities, such as paying the rent or feeding their kids, going to the dentist or buying a monthly bus pass.
  • It often leads to hunger or unhealthy eating, poor health, interrupted schooling, homelessness or poor quality housing, substance abuse, crime, violence and despair.
  • Those who experience poverty have a shorter lifespan, and often suffer physically and emotionally.
  • Those who live in poverty often require higher than average use of publicly funded programs like welfare, hospitals, police and correctional services which increases taxes.

More than 1.7 million people receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year across the country – many among the nation’s poor. This includes:

  • 3.2 million free meals were served at shelters and in feeding programs
  • 4800 people were helped when an emergency or natural disaster struck
  • 3900 children went to Salvation Army camps

With your support, dignity for all is possible.

We will tee off in...
