The Salvation Army in Ottawa will be adopting the Canadian Blood Services clinic at 1575 Carling Avenue on Thursday, January 23rd and Friday January 24 where staff members will be making appointments to donate blood.
Over the Christmas season, The Salvation Army saw the generosity of the people in Ottawa as they donated to Christmas Kettles, brought toys to Toy Mountain, and volunteered their time. Now is The Salvation Army’s opportunity to give back as we recognize the importance of partnering together.
“For cancer patients, transplant recipients, disaster and accident survivors, and many more, a timely transfusion of blood can be the lifesaving difference,” said Jenn Bruno, Territorial Manager at Canadian Blood Services in Ottawa. “We are so grateful to The Salvation Army for adopting the clinic and supporting Canada’s Lifeline.”
Half of all Canadians will either need blood or know someone who needs it. The need for blood is constant, and it is in times of need that everyone needs an army!
