The Salvation Army Bethany Hope Centre, for young parent families, is offering a new Night Market on Friday evenings from 5:00 to 9:00 pm for 12 weeks starting June 8th to August 31 2018.
The Night Market is the result of two of Bethany Hope Centre’s programs “Nourish Family Food Centre” and “Hope Ventures, Youth Enterprise and Employment Program” coming together to create a project that highlights the goals of both programs and bringing the community together.
Unique to Ottawa, The Salvation Army’s new Night Market brings together the local community and promotes small and aspiring enterprises to offer their products to the community in a fun and lively environment. The Night Market will have entertainers, “an eat-in option” with picnic tables and a children’s playground on site.
The Night Market located in the parking lot of The Bethany Hope Centre at 820 Woodroffe Ave. (corner of Fox St. and Woodroffe) will offer local fresh produce and locally made food and crafts.
The market does not have any vendor fees and is based on a “donate what you can model”. We believe the act of giving is an expression of love and kindness to others. Contributions will support our programs and help the community to thrive, assists in the creation of opportunity for youth and support their well being.
